Active Shelter is a real-time, web-based facility safety information system for PCs, smartphones, and tablets. It provides true real-time information between staff within a locked down facility to provide their current status and location to 9-1-1 or other EMS personnel. Registered dispatch users and local facility administrators of Active Shelter may enter a facility into lockdown mode. Local administrators and staff can also use the system to coordinate lockdown drills, and registered users' response times may be tracked over time to improve efficiency and safety in the event of a real incident.
While Active Shelter has been primarily developed for schools, it can also be used for any other facilities to respond to an immediate threat; hotels, movie theaters, etc.
